In Case You Missed It

This week's round-up in book-related news:
  1. Kindle Library Lending:  About time!  Amazon announced yesterday that they will begin allowing Kindle users to check out e-books from their local libraries later this year (users of Nooks and Sony e-readers have been able to do this for a while).  No official date on when the program begins,  but it's expected that over 11,000 libraries will now be able to loan out books via Kindle.  The books will be distributed using the OverDrive program, so if your library uses OverDrive (Chicago Public Library does!) you'll be good to go! P.S. - If you didn't know, you can loan books to friends on your Kindle!  Not every book is available for lending, though, so go to your online account to see what books you can loan out.
  2. "The Hunger Games" film casting: Lionsgate Films has been releasing info all week about additional cast members for next year's film, most of whom are newcomers.  Check out the cast so far:

  1. Sooo...I guess this means I need to read the Hunger Games?

  2. Um, yeah! Not my usual genre, but I loved it. I don't want to say too much else (if I had known much of the plot, I might not have read it since it sounds weird) but Katniss is a fantastic heroine and I don't think I even stopped to breathe while I was reading.

I think you'll like it - let me know after you finish!!

  3. LimeVPN offers the Buy VPN Service to internet users for accessing blocked torrents, without any hassle.
