TGIF! Fictional Settings

TGIF book meme from GReads (favorite fictional settings)
Thanks to GReads for sponsoring TGIF - a feature where for bloggers to recap the past week's posts and answer a fun question.

This week: If you could visit any fictional setting in a story, where would you go?

First choice: Hogwarts, obviously!  I want to have lunch in the Great Hall, sit by the lake and spend some time in the Ravenclaw common room (I'm convinced I'd be sorted into Ravenclaw).
Other places that come to mind:
  • Eve Dallas' New York of the future, especially the fabulous house she shares with the even more fabulous Roarke (from J.D. Robb's In Death series)
  • Wind Lake Campground from Susan Elizabeth Phillips' Chicago Stars series (This Heart of Mine, Match Me If You Can).  It's an idyllic resort filled with mini-cottages and a picture perfect lake.  Plus there are baked goods all day long!
  • The Gallagher Girls Academy, where teenage girls are trained to be spies. My favorite part - the cafeteria, where every day they assign the girls a different language to practice.  I'd make a terrible spy, but I'd love to play with all the fun gadgets.

  3. I'd visit Gallagher Academy! I haven't read the book but a school to be spies? How fun does that sound? Unless I'm wrong since i haven't read any of the books.
